VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES

 

Date:               November 17, 2003

 

Location:        Village Office

 

Time:              7:30 pm

 

1.         PLEDGE AND SIGN IN: President Kuskowski called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.  Sign In Sheet Circulated.

 

            ROLL CALL: Present: Village President Kuskowski, Trustees Parro, Fitzgibbons. Absent: Adams, Aitken, Baggett, Gidley. There was no quorum.

 

2.         APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes of the October 20, 2003 meeting were discussed but not approved due to lack of quorum.

 

3.         ZBA: No report.

 

4.         BUILDING AND ZONING:  Building Inspector Cantieri reported on permits issued for October on file in the office.  Tr Fitzgibbons discussed his conversation with Village Attorney Bateman regarding the resolution of the Independent Inspections issue. He will call a B&Z committee meeting to further review.

 

5.         TREASURER’S REPORT: Monthly bills were not approved, but total expenses were not out of the ordinary.  The finance committee will call a special meeting to approve the bills.

 

6.         POLICE REPORT: Distributed by Village President Kuskowski and on file at the Village office.

 

7.         STORMWATER MANAGEMENT:  No report.

 

 

8.         ROADS: Tr Parro reported on safety concerns along Indian Trail Road, and his conversations with Tom Gooch, Cuba Township. Cuba Township has agreed to put up signage on the road.

 

9.         HEALTH AND SANITATION:

SWALCO – no report.

 

10.       UTILITIES: Tr Adams not present, no report.  Water usage is normal. Pres Kuskowski will follow up on Gas lights.

 

11.       URBAN FORESTRY: The Village has received a list of concerns from the Village Arborist.

 

12.       BACOG: Pres Kuskowski reported on a Barrington Chamber of Commerce legislative breakfast.

 

13.       NEW BUSINESS: Tr Parro reported that the Lake County Comprehensive Plan update meeting will be held here at the TOWER LAKES office, two weeks from Wednesday.

 

MEETING ADJOURNED: Motion to adjourn the Village Board meeting made by Tr Parro, seconded by Tr Fitzgibbons and followed by a unanimous voice vote.
